Representation/ translation to buy a property

Why do I need a translator?
Unless you speak fluent Spanish you will need a translator as the Notary will not allow you to sign any official documents unless they are sure you fully understand the proceedings.

Our costs include the following:

Liaison with selling agent where applicable and vendors representatives.

Representation and translation at the Notary.

Payment of associated taxes on your behalf and registration of deeds.

Transfer of existing electric and water contracts into your name.

Liaison with bank where there is a mortgage involved.

Please note that an NIE number is compulsory to purchase a house and we strongly recommend a Spanish will – please see appropriate pages in folder for these items

Representation/translation at the Notary to sell a property

Why do I need a translator?
Unless you speak fluent Spanish you will need a translator as the Notary will not allow you to sign any official documents unless they are sure you fully understand the proceedings.

Our costs include the following:
Collation and presentation of relevant documents to make the appointment at the Notary. Representation and translation on the day of completion. Initial liason with your selling agent if applicable.

What if I do not have an agent but want to agree the sale in writing with my buyer?
We can provide a private sale contract for you which would be binding for both parties and agree costs and dates.

Please note that we reserve the right to charge for any additional administration at the hourly rate should there be any complications arising outside of our normal duties.
